Europea Microfusioni Aerospaziali S.p.A., or simply EMA, is a world-leading high-precision foundry specializing in the production of rotor blades, stators, and turbine components for the most advanced jet engines used in civil and military aviation, marine propulsion, and gas turbines in power plants for electricity generation.
EMA uses the production technique of “microcasting at “lost wax”, using only vacuum casting, and is one of the few foundries in the world capable of producing Single-Crystal Fusions (“Single Crystal, SX”), at Directional Solidification (“Directionally Solidified, DS”), Equiaxial (“Equiaxed, EXQ”).
EMA produces castings using superalloys based on Nickel and Cobalt state-of-the-art. EMA has a single plant in southern Italy, in Morra De Sanctis, in the province of Avellino.
